Opportunities

We’re on a recruitment drive, looking for new CLT Members, Board members, and a Chair for our Board in the lead-up to our Annual General Meeting on 16 October, 2024.

Chair of the Board 

We are seeking a new Chair to lead the Board and organisation through the next critical stages of its development. 

The new Chair will:

  • have a proven and impressive track record of strategic leadership, business acumen, effective communication skills, empathy and enthusiasm for the CLT’s vision and an ability to command respect amongst local and regional stakeholders as well as funders/decision makers in all sectors,

  • have the skills and interests to help us identify/exploit new opportunities as well as the ability to support the community and Board members to take the CLT through the next stage of its development, and

  • relish the challenge and share our commitment to building a lasting legacy for Granby as a sustainable artistic, economic and social hub for our community, in challenging economic times.  

The role is unpaid, although reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed. The time commitment amounts to approximately two days a month, and the initial term of office is two years.

Board members 

We are also seeking new Board members who will support the Chair and: 

  • be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction, defining objectives, setting targets, reviewing policy and evaluating performance;

  • be active in supporting the work of the individual project groups;

  • safeguard the good name and values of the organisation;

  • safeguard financial stability, approve the annual budget and decide on major resource issues; 

  • support and provide constructive challenge to any staff and volunteers;

  • approve the Business Plan.

Who can become a member?

Granby Four Streets Community Land Trust is an open membership, non-profit organisation – anyone who lives or works in the Liverpool 8 area can join. Membership costs £1.00 – which buys you a share in the company and the right to vote at our AGM on important issues, such as appointing our Board.
